Elf on the window.

If there’s one phrase that we  hear or say very often in December to the kids , it is “Have you been naughty or nice?”

When coming to think of being naughty, its the elf that comes to my mind. Yes, for today’s card it’s about elf on the window.

I made this card from the beautiful whimsiedoodles image (which is so fabulous to color ) . Hoping to create an elf on the shelf, this is how the card turned out to be ! It didn’t turn out like how I wanted, but it turned out good! Its like the elf is on a window with the outdoors behind her.

This elf seems to be more nice than naughty, isn’t it?

I seriously wish I could take better photography.

Supplies used:

Digital stamp: Elf watching girl ( from http://www.whimsiedoodles.com/christmas.html ) , heidi grace stamp (for snowflakes)

Paper: Green and red paper (from stash), Neenah solar white cardstock

Ink: Copics R29, R24, YG23 (red and green dress ) , E21, E00, 100 (skin) , C6, C3, C1 (hair) , tumbled glass distress ink for background

Misc: Spellbinders nestabilities round circles dies, green and white twine, liquid applique to give the fur effect on cap

Here’s a closer look:

Totally in love with the liquid applique! Super cool effect it produces when it is heat set.

There’s something nice about the fresh cut christmas trees, the smell and the feel of it. Here is Ramona pulling a tree on her slide over the snow with her penguin hanging onto the tree. Its a real cute stamp which brings out the merry feeling of christmas. Its from Stamping bella company.

Here I come!

Its the time of the year when the chill is in the air , the kids get to enjoy carving pumpkins and trick or treating! Halloween is long over but I love the kids coming in costumes with their pumpkin bags asking Trick or Treat! This Halloween my neighbors kids came over and one boy was dressed as a vampire and a cop. I got a bit confused as he was dressed up as a cop with an uniform whereas he had these false fang teeth. When asked, who he is , his answer was I m a vampire cop! Hmmm that was definitely new to me. What can I say? Kids are curious thinkers , I guess.

For today , its a vampire card. (not a vampire cop card, lol)

I m entering the whimsiedoodleschallenge for this  month in the last minute.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi ,

Life always turns to be beautiful if we just see it from a different perspective no matter how tough it gets going. This year has been one such on the personal front. I m so indebted to a few friends . Adversity always shows real friends. I’m so happy I came to know my real ones. Gratitude is such a great thing, isn’t it?

Yes, Today’s card is about Thanksgiving.

Fall is my favorite season of the year. Trying to reproduce the same colors with a card is quite a challenging task. Having more inkpads would be better to compare and contrast. Its been a while since I used Lawn fawn stamps  and finally got to use it. The inspiration for my card is the photo I took of a tree. Here it is :

3. Use Memento rich cocoa and stamp the tree stump . Color with copics. Use a circle die cut and draw a circle with pencil.
