Golden heart

Hi

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I m going to make today’s post quite short. Things have been crazy as a family member is on the mend . The card for today is a  favorite of mine and I totally loved it.

For the first time, tried my hands on sequins for cards and I was happy with the outcome . I wanted to create a love rain with sequins and thats what I tried to achieve. It goes perfectly with Love abby stamp from whimsiedoodles.

3a

Isnt she adorable? With a hearty rain over her and the a heart garland she is carrying in her hand and the whole image looks like hearts falling from her hand . ( I wish the camera took a better shot bec the sequins were made matte)

Supplies :

Paper: Neenah solar white cardstock, gold foil cardstock for edges

Stamps : Love Abby from whimsiedoodles (http://www.whimsiedoodles.com/whats-new.html)

Ink: Copics

Misc: red woodgrain washi tape from freckled fawn, Gold heart sequins from pretty pink posh

I’m enrolling this card for http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ and http://blog.markerpop.com/2015/01/26/markerpop-challenge-61-valentines-day/

Fluttering hearts

Hello darlings,

Today I’ m showing off another card made with love Abby from whimsiedoodles. I m not very good with clean and simple cards . This card, I was so happy when it was completed, I could say, this is my best card so far I have made in clean and simple format. This is the third of the card I m making with love Abby.

Tried the technique of ombre coloring and embossing paste for the first time. Yippeee! Finally exploring after a long time!

Isn’t she a cutie?

I cut a 2.5 inch X 5.5 inch strip of white cardstock and ink blending with pickled raspberry distress ink to create the ombre panel of pink. On it, placed the heidi swapps confetti stencil and used white embossing paste selectively to create the hearts on the pink panel. Love Abby image was printed after flipping and colored with copics and attached to the card using foam dots. hello darling sentiment is from mama elephant .

Supplies: Neenah solar white cardstock

Ink: Copics B26, B24, B21, E21, E00, RV13, 0,100, C6, C3, C1, pickled raspberry distress ink

Love of lace and doilies

I m back to share another card for Whimsiedoodles ( http://www.whimsiedoodles.com/)  . With valentine’s day around the corner, I drew inspiration from a doily in my dining table. Isn’t there something about love of lace and doilies when women relate to romance or weddings? I used the love Abby image from whimsiedoodles . I really aimed at getting a subtle look for my card this time from my routine bright colors.

1b

No sentiment was added as I wanted this to be a birthday card for a relative (which happens to fall on february 14). Perfect wouldn’t it be to receive a card with lots of hearts on it?

For a change I flipped the image before printing onto cardstock and then colored her with copics.

Supplies:

Paper: Neenah solar white cardstock, Patterned paper from lawn fawn

Stamp: Love Abby from whimsiedoodles (  http://www.whimsiedoodles.com/whats-new.html )

Ink: Copics E21, E00 (for skin). E37, E35, E27, E25 (for hair) , RV13, RV10 (for cheeks and pink hearts), R29, R25 , 0 (for red dress and shoes ), C6, C3, C1 (for cardigan and socks)

Die : My favorite things doily die

Misc: pink satin ribbon, heart enamel accents, stickles (cotton candy)

Hearty for you

It’s the third card I’m making this month for Whimsiedoodles. I adore the january release of Whimsiedoodles which has the cutest images. This girl reminds me of a soft girl , so I tried to capture that clean line , pastel with a pop of color . I really love coloring this image (or any other whimsiedoodles images ) with copics . For this card, I die cut and colored the embossed die with distress ink spun sugar and added pink twine with a bow and mounted the panel with foam dots . To finish off I added tiny enamel hearts which seemed to fit the theme and colors well.

Teddy bear and love letter!

Hi

I m here with my second card for Whimsiedoodles for this month. Their january release is all about valentine images and I m head over heels in love with them .

What better way is there to show love than with a simple gesture of  teddy bear doll and a love letter. That is the theme I chose for this card . Long ago I was surprised to read that teddy bear is named after President Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt Jr. I was happy with the final output as the card looks like a letter and a teddy bear doll is on a wood table.

Here’s the lovable card .
