Waving hello!

Its been a while since I waved hello. Today , With me , there’s also someone else who wants to wave hello!

A winter fellow bringing a little sunshine to you all.

A new technique I tried today – Yup , A slider card! shooshhhh — isn’t he saying – Hello sunshine!

You can find him in the freebie section of the new stamp company create a smiles :

I m posting this card for create a smile challenge (badge below)

Guest Designer Call

An absolutely adorable penguin sailing in the waves – He’s perfect for any card –  hello card, and christmas cards too! (Atleast that’s what I think) .

I m attaching the steps to make this card in pictures . They are not great but they are ok.

DSC_0010 Take a 5.5 inch X 8.5 inch cardstock. Score at 4 inches and at 8 inches .

DSC_0011  Using paper cutter, make a cut leaving 1 inch above and to the right side . Cut 1 to 4.5inches

DSC_0012 use a circle punch or die cut to make a circle so we can pull the inside card.

DSC_0014 A strip of paper 1/2 inch X 3 inch with foam dot at end

DSC_0015 insert into the slot as shown with the other end inside.

DSC_0017 Take another cardstock of size 3 3/4 inches and 5 inches in size

DSC_0018Use Adhesive on the end of the strip of paper .

DSC_0020 Attach the cardstock over the strip so the top edges align.

DSC_0021Now adhere the left edge making it like an open envelope.

DSC_0022 Attach edge.  Now the entire card is ready with a pull out panel.

DSC_0023 Print the penguin stamp from printer; fuzzy cut and color with copics – R24, R29, 100, C6, C3, Y11, Y13 , YR04 . Stamp wave stamp from Lawn fawn critters in the sea with tumbled glass distress ink on the card and also on masking paper or post it.

DSC_0026  Use the mask and color the sea below the wave.

DSC_0028 After coloring the sea with distress ink tumbled glass. Remove the mask. Place the stencil from tim holtz and use distress inks – mustard seed and squeezed lemonade to make the sun rays.

DSC_0029 Pull the panel. Stencil and color the inside too. Stamp sentiment from lawn fawn stamp and bubble too with memento tuxedo black ink.

I m submitting this for muse challenge – sun burst pattern was the inspiration – http://musecardclub.blogspot.com/

DSC_0030 Masking the inside panel helps in making the card complete. Now pull the panel  and he’s ready to bring sunshine !

hope you enjoyed!
